Biography

Kutasi was the second goalkeeper on the 1936 Hungarian team, playing only one match at the Olympics, a 12-0 wipe-out of Malta. The Hungarians went on to win the Olympic title. Similarly, Kutasi had been on the Hungarian squad that captured the 1934 European title in Magdeburg. Kutasi’s domestic club, Újpesti TE was the dominant club in Hungarian water polo those days. During Kutasi’s stint for the side (1932-1938), it won seven consecutive national titles. After the war Kutasi left Hungary for Australia, where he lived the remainder of his life.
