Biography

Iosif Culineac was a Romanian water polo player who competed during the 1960s and 1970s. Culineac represented the Romanian team at the European Championships in 1962 and 1970. Romania finished fifth and sixth, respectively. At the 1965 Summer Universiade in Budapest, Romania won the bronze medal. Culineac also took part at two Olympic Games. At the 1964 Tokyo Olympics Romania finished in fifth place, and at the 1972 München Olympics the team finished eighth.
