Austrian light-heavyweight Greco-Roman wrestler Franz Marx participated at the 1984 Los Angeles and 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics. He placed eighth and ninth, respectively. Marx also represented Austria at five World and three European Championships, winning a bronze medal at the 1981 Worlds. He later became vice-president of the Austrian Wrestling Association.
