Biography

Rangel Gerovski wrestled Greco-Roman at the 1988 and 1992 Olympics, winning a silver medal in super-heavyweight in 1988. Gerovski won three bronze medals at the World Championships, all in Greco-Roman, in 1985, 1987, and 1990. At the European Championships, he won the title in 1981 as a super-heavy, adding podium places in 1985, 1987, and 1990, with silvers in 1985 and 1990, and a bronze in 1987. In April 2004, Gerovski died tragically when he was fishing. His line hit an overhead power line, electrocuting him.
