Finnish wrestler Konrad Åberg placed fourth in the Greco-Roman Middleweight A (75 kg) class at the 1912 Olympic Games after losing by decision in a 26-minute-long bout against the later gold medal winner Claes Johanson from Sweden. One year later, he placed fourth again at the Unofficial European Championships in Budapest. But it was not until 1918 that he won the Finnish title in the 75 kg class, repeating this feat in the following year.
