Nasser Givehchi competed as a wrestler at the 1952 and 1956 Olympic Games, winning a silver medal in featherweight freestyle in 1952 at Helsinki. He won a bronze medal in the same class at the 1958 Asian Game. Givehchi competed at the 1954 World Championships, finishing fifth. He later worked as a wrestling coach, serving as coach of the Iranian national wrestling team in 1966 and 1967.
