Biography
Herschel Smith wrestled middleweight freestyle at the 1924 Paris Olympics, eventually finishing in a tie for ninth place. Smith graduated from the US Naval Academy in 1922 and was a commander in the Navy at the time of the 1924 Olympics. He later served as a career Naval Officer.
