Biography

Jan Bartosik was a Polish sailor who later emigrated to Austria where he fell in love and eventually became the father of Thomas Zajac, also a sailor, who participated in the 2016 Rio Games. Bartosik came ninth and last at the 1980 Moskva Games in the Soling class. He died after a paragliding accident at Rofan near Achensee in Tyrol. He was taken to a hospital in Innsbruck and died six hours after the crash.
