Biography

Nicole Provis-Bradtke was an Australian tennis player who played professionally from 1986 to 1997. Provis-Bradtke achieved a career-best singles ranking of #24 in the world in May 1993, and a doubles ranking of #11 in the world in April 1992. She won two Grand Slam mixed doubles titles and an Olympic bronze medal.

Provis-Bradtke won nine WTA doubles titles during her career with her first win coming in May 1988 in Strasbourg, France, with her Dutch partner Manon Bollegraf. As well as teaming with Bollegraf she had success partnering with Elna Reinach and Liz Smylie. Provis-Bradtke also won three WTA singles titles between January 1992 and January 1995.

At Grand Slams Provis-Bradtke reached the mixed doubles finals on four occasions, winning two of them. She reached the final at Wimbledon in 1987 with Darren Cahill, and the final of the 1990 French Open with Danie Visser, but finished as a runner-up each time. In 1992 she and compatriot Mark Woodforde won the titles at the Australian Open and the US Open. As a doubles player Provis-Bradtke reached the semi-finals at all the Grand Slams apart from the Australian Open, and reached the singles semi-final at the 1988 French Open.

Provis-Bradtke competed at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. In Barcelona she was eliminated in the second round of the singles but won bronze in the doubles with partner Rachel McQuillan.
