Jarogniew Krüger joined the Poznań Yacht Club in 1962 and went on to represent Poland in international competitions. Krüger began his career sailing in the Finn class before later moving to the Tornado class, becoming the Polish champion in the latter. At the 1980 Moskva Olympics he paired with Bogdan Kramer in the Tornado and placed ninth.
