Austrian badminton player Hannes Fuchs became a double Olympian, competing at the 1992 Barcelona and 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics. On both occasions he failed to reach the third round in the singles. With his partner Jürgen Koch he also failed to reach the third round in the men’s doubles in 1992.
Fuchs was one of the most successful badminton players in Austria winning three national titles in the singles (1992-94) and two in the doubles (1990, 1992). From 1990-97 he played professionally. Fuchs’ highest position in the world ranking was #14.
Along with his former coach Heinrich Klimetschek, Fuchs founded a logistic and transport company specialising in removals in 1997.
