Biography

Vladimír Penc was a long-distance runner who represented Slavia Praha. At the 1912 Stockholm Olympics Penc competed for Bohemia, where he ran in both the 10,000 metres and marathon, but did not finish either race. He was also scheduled to run in the cross-country race but did not start the event. Also in 1912 Penc won the Běchovice- Praha cross-country race, the oldest road running race in Europe.
