Biography

Lyuba Mollova was a Bulgarian javelin thrower who just missed a medal at the 1972 München Olympics when she finished fourth. Mollova also placed fourth at the 1974 European Championships. She was a four-time Bulgarian Champion, winning in 1969 and 1972-74, and set 11 Bulgarian national records. Mollova won three Balkan titles, in 1972, 1974, and 1975. At the European Cup she was second in 1973 and third in 1975, and placed third at the 1973 Universiade. Mollova later settled in İstanbul, where she died.
