Biography

Helena Fuchsová was a 400-800 runner who competed at the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games. Internationally, Fuchsová had most of her success indoors, winning three medals at the World Indoor Championships, with a silver in 1995 4x400 and bronzes in the 400 in 1997 and 800 in 2001. At the European Indoors she won bronze medals in the 400 metres in 1998 and 2000. Her greatest outdoor success came at the 1998 European Championships in Budapest, when she won a bronze medal over 400 metres. Fuchsová retired in 2004 and went into coaching.

Personal Bests: 400 – 50.21 (1998); 800 – 1:58.37i (2001), 1:58.56 (2000).
