Biography

Finnish long-distance runner Hannes Miettinen represented HKV in Helsinki where he competed in cross-country events. Miettinen ran in the cross-country race at the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics and finished in 23rd place in the individual event. Finland won the team race with the three best-placed athletes contributing to the result. Miettinen was the sixth and last Finn to complete the course and therefore was not awarded with a gold medal.
