Biography

Howard Payne finished fourth in the hammer throw, eleventh in the shot put, and 14th in the discus throw at the 1958 British Empire and Commonwealth Games. In the 1958 British Empire and Commonwealth Games he competed for Southern Rhodesia. Represeting England he won gold in hammer throw at the 1962, 1966, and 1970 British Empire and Commonwealth Games as well as silver in 1974.

Personal Best: HT – 70.88 (1974).
