Klaus Neumann was a triple jumper who competed at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics, but did not qualify for the final, although he was ranked #3 in the world that year. In 1969 he earned a bronze medal at the European Championships. In East Germany he won a national title outdoors in 1964, and indoors in 1964 and 1968.
