Biography

Anette Rückes, 400 a metre runner, won a bronze medal with the 4x400 relay at the 1972 München Olympic Games, and was eliminated in the second round of the 400. At the 1971 Europeans she won a silver medal with the relay, also winning silver indoors in the 4x2 lap relay. Rückes was awarded the Silver Bay Leaf in 1972. Her sister Mechthild was a middle- and long-distance runner.

Personal Best: 400 – 53.10 (1972).
