Biography

Long distance runner Dieter Engelhardt placed 30th in the Olympic marathon race at Helsinki in 1952. He was the first Olympic participant for his home club TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen. He qualified for this competition with his second-place finish at the 1952 German Championships.

Personal Best: Mar – 2-33:40 (1952).
