Patrizia Lombardo was an Italian track and field athlete who became a seven-time national champion in sprint and hurdling events. Lombardo won her first titles in 1979, becoming the Italian champion in both the 100 metres hurdles and the 200 metres. That same year she also won bronze in the 100 metres hurdles and silver in the 4 x 100 metres relay at the Mediterranean Games in Split. She won two more national titles in the 100 metres hurdles (1981, 1985), in addition to becoming the Italian indoor champion in both the 60 metres hurdles (1980, 1987) and the 400 metres (1983).
Lombardo had further international success with bronze in the 4 x 100 metres relay at the 1981 Summer Universiade, followed by gold in the 100 metres hurdles at the 1987 Mediterranean Games. In 1984 she was also part of the Italian relay quartet that finished sixth in the 4 x 400 metres at the Los Angeles Olympics. Her sister Rossana had competed in the same event four years earlier at the Moskva Games, with their father Vincenzo being a noted track sprinter in the 1950s.
