Biography

Alessandro Aimar was an Italian athlete, specializing in the 400 metres. At the international level he mostly competed in the 4x400 relay, appearing at three World Championships, two Olympic Games, and two European Championships. Between 1989 and 1997 he earned 30 international caps. Domestically, Aimar won three Italian titles in the relay 4x400 (1992-94) with Fiamme Azzurre (prison guards).

Personal Best: 400 – 45.76 (1993).
