Biography

Enrico Sgrulletti was an Italian hammer thrower who won seven Italian titles (1989-90, 1992-96), and set four Italian records, from 79.80 in Tirrenia on 22 June 1993 to 81.64 in Roma on 9 March 1997.

Sgrulletti reached two Olympic finals and in 1996 at Atlanta he missed the final three throws by just 40 centimetres. He won the 1989 World Military Championships (CISM) in Roma and took two medals at the Mediterranean Games with silver in 1991 and bronze in 1997. Sgrulletti was capped 38 times from 1985-98.
