Biography

Gaspare Torretta was an Italian sprinter and long jumper. He took part at the 1906 Athens Intercalated Games in the 100 metres, but was eliminated in the semi-final. In the long jump he finished 17th. Two years later at the London Olympics Torretta competed only in the sprint, where he did not advance to the semi-finals. Domestically, Torretta won four 100 m national titles (1900-02, 1906). All were held in Milano.
