Mexican track and field athlete Pascual Gutiérrez specialised in the long jump. Gutiérrez won silver in the event at the 1935 Central American and Caribbean Games in San Salvador in El Salvador. The following year he competed in the event at the 1936 Berlin Olympics but he did not advance from the qualification round. Gutiérrez was also scheduled to run in the 100 metres at the Berlin Games but did not start the race.
