Biography

Romanian track and field athlete Otto Schöpp competed in sprinting, hurdles, and the high jump, setting a national record in the latter in 1927. Schöpp ran in the 110 metres hurdles at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics but he failed to advance from his heat. He also competed in the high jump in Amsterdam where he tied for 28th with four other athletes who all cleared 1.70 metres. Schöpp worked as the director of the German Gymnastics and Sports Association in Romania. Otto and his brother Walter designed and built a beach resort at the lakes in Sibiu.

Personal Bests: 110H – 16.2 (1930); HJ – 1.80 (1927).
