Biography
Andrejs Krūkliņš was born in Rīga as the son of a worker. At the Stockholm Olympics in 1912, he failed to advance to the second round of the 1,500 metres. Although he won the Russian trials in the marathon, Krūkliņš and all other Russian athletes abandoned the race early.
