Czechoslovak track and field athlete Jaroslav Eliáš represented Slavia Praha where he competed in the hammer throw. Eliáš finished tenth in the event at the 1934 European Athletics Championships in Torino, Italy. Two years later he represented Czechoslovakia at the 1936 Berlin Olympics but he did not advance beyond the qualification round. After the end of World War II in Europe Eliáš became the national champion at the Czechoslovak Athletics Championships in Praha.
