Biography

Czechoslovak long-distance runner Alois Krof represented Sparta Praha. From 1926 to 1928 Krof was a three-time champion of Czechoslovakia in the marathon after finishing as the runner-up in the race in 1925. He ran in the marathon at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics where he finished in 16th place, setting a national record in the process. Krof was only 33 when he died in 1934.
