Biography

Lynda Tolbert-Goode was a high hurdler who ran at the 1992 and 1996 Olympics, just missing a medal in 1992 when she finished fourth. In 1996 she struggled with Epstein-Barr virus prior to the Olympic Trials, which made it difficult for her to even get out of bed, much less train. A runner at Arizona State University, Tolbert-Goode won the NCAA title in the 100 hurdles in 1988 and 1990 and also won the indoor NCAA 55 metre hurdle title. She won US titles in the high hurdles in 1989 and 1993, and also won the USA indoors in 1995. She won bronze medals internationally at the 1989 World Cup, the 1992 Grand Prix Final, and the 1993 World Championships.

Personal Best: 100H – 12.67 (1993).
