At the 1963 Pan American Games she took a gold medal with the 4×100 metres relay team (with Vivian Brown, Willye White, and the non-Olympian Norma Harris) and a bronze medal in the 100 metres. Marilyn White placed fourth in the 100 m in Tokyo and ran the third leg on the relay team that took the silver medals.
