Biography

Percy Hagerman competed for Occidental College and the Pacific AA. Hagerman was named Southern California Athlete of the Year in 1906 and was later named as Occidentals’ Athlete of the 1900 Decade. He is a member of the Occidental College Track and Field Hall of Fame.

Hagerman has always been listed as competing for the USA in 1904, but he was not a USA citizen, and never became one. He was born in Canada and his family moved to Los Angeles in 1897. He settled in Toronto and on border crossings was always listed as a Canadian citizen. However, in 1904 he represented the Pacific Athletic Association of San Francisco at the Olympics.
