Biography

James Robinson is one of America’s greatest ever two-lap runners, with a long career that lasted from the mid-70s through the entire decade of the 80s. He won seven US titles in the 800/880 y – 1976, 1978-82, and 1984. He was a gold medalist in the 800 at the 1979 Pan American Games. He represented the US at the 1979 and 1981 World Cups, and the 1983 World Championships.

Personal Bests: 400 – 46.3 (1975); 800 – 1:43.92 (1984); 1500 – 3:47.9 (1983); Mile – 4:09.0 (1983).
