Biography

Tim Vollmer was the AAU discus champion in 1971 and silver medalist that year at the Pan American Games. At the NCAAs he was runner-up in 1968-69, representing Oregon State, and was team co-captain in 1969. At the AAU Championships, Vollmer placed in the top four in the discus every year from 1968-73, placing second in 1972, and fourth in 1969-70. He also finished sixth in 1975. Vollmer later competed for the NYAC.

Personal Bests: SP – 17.37 (57-0) (1969); DT – 67.38 (221-1) (1971).
