Biography

Silke Braun represented East Germany at the 1988 Calgary Winter Games as a cross-country skier. With the 4x5 km relay she finished fifth, and over 5 km, was 25th. After German re-unification, she married a Swiss man and subsequently represented Switzerland at the 1992 Albertville, and 1994 Lillehammer Winter Olympics, with her best result being the fifth place with the Swiss relay squad in 1994. Braun-Schwager won two Swiss national relay titles, in 1993 and 1994.
