Biography

Katia Piccolini was an Italian professional tennis player who achieved a career-best singles ranking of #37 in the world in July 1991, and a doubles ranking of #160 in the world in April 1992. Piccolini won gold in the singles and doubles at the 1991 Mediterranean Games.

On the ITF Circuit Piccolini won her first singles title in July 1988 in Subiaco, Italy, with a straight sets win against Francesca Romano. Piccolini won a further six ITF singles titles between April 1990 and July 1998. She competed in the singles at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics but lost to Nicole Provis in the first round.
