Biography

Elfriede Uhlig from Klingenthal in East Germany finished 26th in the 10 km cross-country event and seventh in the 3x5 km relay at the 1956 Cortina d’Ampezzo Winter Olympics. Eight years later she again competed at the Innsbruck Olympics under her married name Spiegelhauer and finished 19th in the 5 km and 16th in the 10 km. Spiegelhauer-Uhlig won five East German national relay titles with SC Dynamo Klingenthal, and in 1964 was the individual 10 km champion.
