Biography

Tom Becker was an Air Force Sergeant when he competed for the US at the 1972 Winter Olympics. His best year in bobsledding was 1971 when he was on the winning sled at the US and North American 4-man championships and at the Kennedy Games. In 1973 he again rode on winning sleds at the US and North Americans, and his 4-man team finished 11th that year at the World Championships. At the 1975 Worlds, Becker was seventh as a brakeman in the 2-man. Becker later returned to Indiana-Purdue at Indianapolis (IUPUI) and studied physical therapy, eventually becoming a therapist in Indianapolis.
