Biography

Kyoko Nagatsuka was a Japanese tennis player who played professionally from 1989 to 1998. Nagatsuka achieved a career-best singles ranking of #28 in the world in August 1995, and a doubles ranking of #31 in the world in June 1995.

Nagatsuka won her only ITF doubles title in June 1992 with victory in Milano with her partner Miki Yokobori. On the WTA Tour she reached three singles finals during 1994 and 1995 but finished as the runner-up each time. Nagatsuka did win two WTA doubles titles at the 1994 and 1995 Hobart International tournaments.

At the 1994 Asian Games Nagatsuka won gold in the doubles and bronze in the mixed doubles, with Ai Sugiyama and Gouichi Motomura, respectively. Nagatsuka and Sugiyama partnered each other at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics but lost their first round match. After her playing career Nagatsuka coached Akiko Morigami for a short time.
