Okamoto won her first ITF doubles title in August 1983 in Ortisei, Italy, with her partner Emiko Okagawa. Okamoto’s only other ITF doubles title came later the same month, again with Okagawa, in Hechingen, West Germany. Okamoto won four ITF singles titles during her career with her first one coming in November 1984 in Kuroshio, Japan, when she beat Cheryl Jones.
