Biography

Ensio Hyytiä was a Finnish ski jumper who represented the Ounasvaara Ski Club during the late 1950s and early 1960s. In 1958 Hyytiä won silver on the large hill at the World Championships in Lahti. Two years later he competed in the Nordic combined event at the 1960 Squaw Valley Olympics, where he finished 22nd. In 1963 he became the Finnish ski jumping champion to earn himself another place on the Olympic team for the Innsbruck Games. This time Hyytiä competed in both the normal and large hill events, finishing 20th and 23rd, respectively.
