Biography

Andrzej Krzeptowski II was allocated the ordinal II in order to distinguish him from his cousin of the same name, Andrzej Krzeptowski I, who was also a skier and Olympian. After his participation in the 1928 Winter Olympics Krzeptowski II competed in the 1929 World Championships placing 19th in the 18 km and 14th in the 50 km. He was Polish Champion in the 50 km in 1928 and runner-up the following year. He also finished second with his relay team in 1931. Along with his wife Andrzej ran several shelters for hikers and skiers in the High Tatras, and later a restaurant in the Kiry township. He was also involved in the Tatra Volunteer Search and Rescue organization.
