Biography

Pat Moore was a short-track speed skater who competed in short-track demonstration events at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics. Moore was from Chicago and represented the Northwest Chicago Speed Skating Club. Moore started as a long-track skater but switched mostly to short-track in 1982, although he did skate the long-track Olympic Trials at the end of 1983.

Moore won a silver medal in the 500 metres long-track at the 1980 World Junior Championships, and a bronze medal at the same distance at the 1983 World Short-Track Championships. Moore was the 1983 US Champion in short-track.

Moore graduated from Northern Michigan University with a degree in computer graphics. He and his wife settled in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where they ran a downtown restaurant, the Centro Café. Pat Moore also had several properties and managed rental properties in Milwaukee.
