Biography

Tamara Jenkins was a flatwater canoeist who competed in kayak doubles at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. She was on the US National Team from 1996-2001. At the 1999 Pan American Games Jenkins won silver in the kayak doubles and bronze in the kayak four. She won five USA Championships in 1998-99 and competed at the World Championships in 1997-98.

Jenkins later worked in sports administration. She was on USA Canoe/Kayak Board of Directors from 2000-03 and 2005-07 and served on the US Olympic Committee’s Advisory Council from 2001-09.
