Biography

Donald Miranda was a diver who focused on the springboard, in which he was coached by his father. He competed at the 2000 Sydney Olympics in the 3-metre individual and synchronized events. In 1997 Miranda won the Italian title on the 1-metre springboard and won bronze in the synchronized springboard at the European Championships. He returned in 1999 to take gold at the Europeans in synchro springboard, with Nicola Marconi. A soldier with the Carabinieri, Miranda also competed at the 1999 World Championships where he was sixth in synchro.
