Biography

Dutch painter Geert Grauss studied in Antwerp and Brussels. He mainly worked in North Africa and produced portraits of the people living there mostly in their everyday situations. He also painted still lifes. In addition to works in oil, watercolor, gouache, and drawings, he produced etchings, lithographs, and stained glass. Later, he was a member of Arti et Amicitiae association in Amsterdam.
