Biography

Pablo Bandomo was a Cuban track and field athlete who specialised as a sprinter. In 1971 Bandomo was part of the Cuban quartet that won silver in the 4 x 100 metres relay at the Pan American Games. The following year he was named as an alternate for the same event at the München Olympics but did not start. He then had individual success in the 200 metres, winning bronze at the 1973 Central American and Caribbean Championships in Athletics, followed by silver a year later at the Central American and Caribbean Games. At the latter Bandomo also won gold in the 4 x 100 metres relay.
