Biography

Franco Squillari was an Argentine tennis player who played professionally from 1989 to 2005. Squillari achieved a career-best singles ranking of #11 in the world in September 2000 and a doubles ranking of #387 in the world in July 2001. From May 1999 to July 2000 he won three ATP Tour titles, all on clay courts in Germany. His best Grand Slam performance came in 2000 when he reached the semi-finals of the French Open, losing to Sweden’s Magnus Norman. A few months later Squillari represented Argentina at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
