Swedish tennis player Mikael Tillström played professionally from 1991 to 2001, earning more than $2 million in prize money. Tillström achieved a career-best singles ranking of #39 in the world in October 1996 and a doubles ranking of #15 in the world in July 2000. As a junior player he finished as the runner-up in both the boys’ singles and doubles at the US Open in 1990. He formed a strong doubles partnership with compatriot Nicklas Kulti, with the pair winning seven ATP titles together from 1992 to 2000. Tillström also won a doubles title with the Australian player Michael Tebbutt in 1997. At Grand Slams he and Kulti reached the semi-finals at the French Open (1999) and Wimbledon (2000). The pair also played together at the 2000 Sydney Olympics but lost in the first round to the Belarussian duo of Max Mirny and Uladzimir Valchkou.
