Larry McKillip competed for the Saranac Lake Bobsled Club, and had a long career sliding for them. He was the US 2-man champion in 1951, and then won that title again from 1962 through 1964. In the 4-man, McKillip was a driver for two US champion teams, in 1961 and 1962. His brother, Joseph, never competed in the Olympics, but also drove bobsleds, winning the 1966 North American 4-man title.
