Biography

Karl-Heinz Menz won his only international medal at the 1976 Innsbruck Winter Games in the relay together with Frank Ullrich, Manfred Beer and Manfred Geyer, finishing behind the Soviet Union and Finland. Domestically Menz won the 10 km East German title in 1974, while in 1972 and 1976 he was runner-up in the relay with his homeclub ASK Vorwärts Oberhof. Later he worked for the World Cup team at Oberhof as a start and finish judge.
